Holton Main Street is one of 25 Main Street communities in Kansas.  Main Street is a self-help technical assistance program aimed at preservation and revitalization of downtown districts.  Holton joined the Main Street program in October of 2008.

On Thursday evening, March 22nd, Holton Main Street recognized several at it's Annual Celebration and Awards get- together.  We congratulate and thank these Award recipients:

Lifetime Eye Care. "Pride in Business Award"
Bruce Shaw, "Friend of Main Street Award"
Keynote Speakers at this annual meeting were Rhonda Plumlee, owner of New York Fashion Exchange in Wamego and Joy Huber of JHPI in Nashville TN.

Holton Main Street facilitated a business improvement workshop on March 23 featuring Joy Huber, business professional from Nashville, TN.    She presented "The Platinum Rule of Customer Service" to 31 area-wide business people who attended this great training.

Now that we've been accepted into the Kansas Main Street Program, we need to continue to fund it.  Funding is provided by membership contributions, and needs to come equally from:

Governmental Sources (City, JCDC, etc.);

Institutional and Private Sources (banks, individual citizens, and businesses outside the district;

Businesses Within the District (click here for district map)
